,

This year the Friends of Cumbernauld House Park and Glen are hosting the final event of the summer on the 19th of August from 12pm – 3pm.  The event will be at Cumbernauld House Park in the field in front of the big house with a variety of stalls and fun activities.

Cumbernauld Living Landscape will be there and you can find out what has been going on in the past year, guess what’s in the box, make a badge and make wildflower seed bombs that you can either take home or launch in our special area of the Glen.

Cumbernauld Wildlife Watch team will also be there for activities with the kids, this group is really taking off!  Wildlife Watch is a junior nature group and part of the Scottish Wildlife Trust.  It is a great group for kids to reconnect with nature.  They will be holding taster sessions to give families an idea of what they do.  They usually meet up at Palacerigg Country Park on the 3rd Sunday of every month and you can get more information from them on the day.

These local events are vitally important to our town, they help reconnect us all and remind us of our sense of community.  Why not come along and support your local Friends of group and help say cheerio to summer as the kids get back to school.  You can see how the day goes on our Facebook page – Cumbernauld Living Landscape
