,

I’ve been hit by a touch of writer’s block these last few weeks and I couldn’t work out why!  While out working on our Natural Connections project, I had a conversation with Justyna Pabisz our intern volunteer for the Cumbernauld Living Landscape, and she said “How do you think you are going to get inspiration sitting at your desk all the time, you haven’t been out of the office lately” You know what, she is right.  So I made a concerted effort to get out a wee half hour before I started work to go to a site and just enjoy it.

Can you imagine crunching these leaves coated with the early morning frost?  Lovely!

Well, let me tell you inspiration came in spades! I must say autumn is my favourite season. Have you ever gone for a walk just to hear the leaves falling, or to crunch them underfoot?  It’s very satisfying. The colours are amazing, from week yellows to deep purple hews the changes that occur during this season are like a kaleidoscope just waiting for you to experience it.

Autumn in Seafar Woods

We often miss out on the simple things because we don’t think we have time. In most cases it is an excuse that holds us back.  How many of us are glued to the TV or laptop of an evening when we could easily go for a half hour walk.  Take a walk with friends or family and reconnect with your inner you. Let us know about what you get up to or where you went for a visit, we’d love to hear from you.  Follow us on Facebook – Cumbernauld Living Landscape.
