Thanks to the efforts of a local volunteer Cabrain gully can now be explored in Google Maps. Until recently many of the footpaths in Cumbernauld have not been visible on any of the online mapping websites. This means that it looks like there is nowhere to walk and you have to drive everywhere. Anyone who has spent at least 5 minutes exploring Cumbernauld will know this is not true. There are lots of paths that can link you to where you want to go, the challenge can just be finding them!

This has just been made a bit easier with the help of Google’s street view  technology. A local volunteer has used a 360 degree camera to create his own street view of the gully and the greener parts of his neighbourhood. This has now been published to Google and can be explored below.
