Due to a case of holiday head and the excitement of organising the celebration event for the local community I totally forgot to send out the Natura Ninja email in time.

I don’t think it is right to  only give a few days’ notice so we are going for a change of date for this month instead of trying to pull it off at the last minute.  February’s volunteer day will therefore be on the 10th of February at Cumbernauld Glen and this time we are going to try something different.  Our objective is to go for a walk and for you guys to highlight tasks that you think would improve the Glen, i.e. rhodi removal, brush/path clearing, your input is vital.

We’ll also be able to map where patches of invasive rhodi and overgrown dogwood are which will help us focus on spots in the future for removal.  I’m trying to keep everyone moving to stay warm and the longer term forecast is for lower temperatures.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear good walking boots and bring waterproofs (just in case).

The volunteer day will be weather dependant and will be cancelled in the event of bad weather (driving rain, blizzards or winds over 30mph), keep an eye out for emails just in case.  Teas, coffee will be available via the Kelly kettle & pastries will be available to keep us motivated. Children over the age of 8 are welcome at this volunteer day but must be supervised at all times.

Date                      10th February

Time                      12pm – 4pm weather dependant

Location               Allotment Car park nearest postcode G67 2BN

If you are coming along on the 10th of February please let me know via email –   tlambert@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk
